About the Artists:
Sarah Rose Kearns (Writer/Actor) is a writer, performer, and lifelong Jane Austen enthusiast. She studied acting with Dan Daily, Ragnar Freidank, Austin Pendleton, and many others; and she holds a bachelor's degree in creative writing from Columbia University.
As an actress, Rose has appeared at Symphony Space (with Gingold Theatrical Group), the Long Wharf, Baltimore Center Stage, Chez Bushwick, and elsewhere. She lives in New York City with her boyfriend and their cat. Persuasion is her favorite book.
Laura Rocklyn (Actor) is based in Washington, DC, where she is an Acting Company Member and Teaching Artist at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, and a Resident Company Member and Dramaturg with Annapolis Shakespeare Company. As a freelance artist, Laura writes and performs one-woman historic character portrayals for educational groups up and down the East Coast such as The Jane Austen Society of North America and The Smithsonian Institution. Laura has performed with regional theaters across the country, including The Folger Theatre, Kentucky Shakespeare, Arena Stage, Richmond Shakespeare Festival, and Round House Theatre. She has been seen on television as Abigail Adams in Legends & Lies: The Patriots, and on other TV shows and webseries, including Investigation Discovery: Southern Friend Homicide and The Broken Continent. Laura received her MFA in Classical Acting from The Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy for Classical Acting at The George Washington University.
