Opera House Arts
Birthday: October 31, 1995. Hmph. Getting up there. My hips know it during the winter. How about yours?

Ancestry: Belgian shephard (I have their very distinct markings: very black with small white blaze on chest and amber eyes) and, it is highly suspected, some kinda bull terrier (or Australian cattle dog, even better) which makes me stubborn (I'm told this. I don't think of myself as stubborn, simply, independent! Like one of the cats--or people--I live with!)

How I came to be the Opera House Dog: I was found by Linda Nelson at the 9th St. subway station of the F train in Brooklyn (that's Brooklyn, New York) tied with a rope around my neck to a corner of a token booth. It was love at first sight, for both of us! She named me Tosca, long before she came to found Opera House Arts, for two reasons: 1) she loves the opera, "Tosca," and, 2) The Monks of New Skete advise that in naming dogs, we respond better to names that contain a hard "K" sound. Well, I might hear it better, but coming every time, well, frankly, the bull terrier in me means I could care less about the hard K sound. I've got things on my mind. Well, you know.

Favorite Food: anything I can sneak off a plate, particulary Stilton cheese. This just seems to make things taste better. Try it at home!

Nicknames: Tosca the Terrierist, Tosca-Tune, Tosca-rific

Turn-ons: People, cats, my "kong" toy, sofas, Stonington, doing my "business."

Turn-offs: other Dogs, being left alone at home when the action is elsewhere, not doing my "business."

Favorite Saying: It’s not over until the fat lady sings!

Favorite singer: Bette Midler

Favorite Color: Black (I can’t see colors, stupid question but I answered it anyway.)

Favorite Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio (He can pet me anytime!)

Favorite Actress: Bette Midler (she should have gotten an Oscar for "Beaches")!
