TOSCA!
Hello! It's perfect weather for sleeping in the sun but if you must do something there is always something going on at the Opera House - movies and more! Busy! Busy! Busy! Here is my Tosca's Tune column from our Winter 2009 Newsletter: Old and new. Those are my words for today. Opera House Arts will be 10 years old this summer (that's 70 in dog years). Of course, the Opera House building itself is my age (in dog years). However, Peter Beerits (my old pal) stopped by for tickets and told me I look younger (newer) than ever! Jack (my dog) keeps me slim, along with my new office mates, Indie (and her person, Jennifer Morrow). Try to keep up with me, because old and new go well together and I've got more. Although winter programming isn't new (or old, actually) by the time you read this we will have had our first (therefore new) winter Live! for $5, a workshop with my old friend Randy Judkins, two new Kennedy Center Workshops, and the annual (old) Winterfest Dance with my dear old (young) pal, Amanda. I know that old and new friends will be around to celebrate (and some to perform at) our 10th anniversary this summer. You've always counted on me to sniff out the details (and I, you, so check out my wish list below) and I'm planning on being there. I did have a scrap with a dog at the Tennis Preserve (you know who you are) recently that proved I've still got what it takes . . . but Jack is all doodling about getting a column. You never know when something new might come along . . . T O S C A ’ S W I S H L I S T.
