Are you an innovative thinker? Come share your work at the Stonington Opera House on October 14 (application deadline August 23). In collaboration with area arts organizations (College of the Atlantic, Schoodic Arts for All, Alamo, and WERU), OHA will host a one night PechaKucha event. PechaKucha, which draws its name from the Japanese term "chit chat," is a unique way to present cutting edge ideas with an opportunity for lively dialog and feedback. PechaKucha is a fast-paced, friendly social evening where designers, artist, architects, photographers, musicians, and other innovative thinkers, present their work in 20 slides, for 20 seconds each.

If you are a Hancock County resident and would like to participate at the Stonington Opera House event or the PechaKucha nights at other venues, fill out the application and email the file along with five images of the work you would like to present and e-mail to downeastpetchakutcha@gmail.com (images should not exceed 150 dpi each). The deadline for submission is August 23, 2010.
