Silent movie projectors were installed in the Stonington Opera House in 1918, and in 1927 these were upgraded to some of the first projectors with sound. In commemoration of the importance of movies to the life of the Opera House and its patrons, Opera House Arts is pleased to screen classic films from 1912-2012, each of which exemplifies the best in the particular popular film genre of their eras.
