A new OHA commission composed by Maia Aprahamian and directed by Joan Jubett: a children's opera version of the beloved book by Robert McCloskey. Equity performers from Portland, ME and NYC, including Daniel Noel as Burt Dow, lead a combined professional and community children's chorus. Local students helped to compose music and lyrics; and helped build fantastic props for the show with sculptor Michael Stasiuk. The set designer is David Barber, the costume designer is Deborah Otte and the lighting designer is Barbara Samuels.
